Angel looked horrorstruck. She'd been expecting attacks, but not this early, and not like this. She seemed like she wanted to cry.

"I have to stop them..."

Karen didn't have very long to process that, though...

***

The speed demon's motorcycle pulled up to the police station unnoticed and vanished into thin air, leaving a real Demon standing in its wake - Remus Von Grath, having built himself a new set of 350-pound armor, teleported up to the roof of the station, appearing somewhere in the middle.

He had no time to waste. He knew why he was here. He was just about to put his plans into motion when a familiar voice stopped him.

"Hey."

Remus snapped his head around an unnatural distance to glance across the roof at Firehawk. He'd been followed.

"You're supposed to be dead," FH sneered, boldy striding towards the Demon.

"So are you," Remus said in a cold, wisp of a voice.

Firehawk snickered and stopped only a few feet from the seven and a half footer.

"You know, the Gatekeeper used to throw an old phrase around. It went something like, "We do not understand the Powers at Work here.' I think I just found out what that means."

"Good for ya," Remus remarked coldly, no emotion in his voice as he didn't want to deal with FH right now... not until he remembered his instructions.

"You looking for work?"

That got Leroy's attention.

"Kinda work?" he asked curiously.

"Vengeance," was the hateful reply.

"I'm in," FH stated seconds later, "What do you need?"

"First, we destroy this structure," Remus relayed his orders, "Then, I introduce you to my Master."

FH thought about it for a few seconds.

"Sure," he said, stepping back a few paces, "Demons first."

Remus too separated himself a few large paces, then quickly raised his fist high in the air and brought it down on the roof, sending out a shockwave with the Force, splitting the structure wide open and creating a crack across the entire thing.

Firehawk jumped inside in a heartbeat and immediately set the place on fire and casting a flurry of flaming lightning bolts at anything living he found.

Remus landed in a different section of the top level a moment later and immediately summoned his lightsaber, and cut a support beam and used the Force to collapse the floor below him onto the level beneath. He kept his footing and slid down to the level and went to work with his lightsaber.

The distant rumbling and crashing woke Tracy right back up. She stood up and walked over to the door, while still listening to whatever sounds the building was making.

Karen's hand immediately went to her holstered weapon and she frantically looked around as she heard and felt the commotion. Though in the holding cell area, neither Firehawk nor Remus could actually be seen.

At about the same time, Jack, Kyle, and Marissa all tested to see if the interrogation room doors were locked or not, with one thing in mind - reuniting with the others and getting the hell outta dodge.

"They're HERE!" Angel shrieked in obvious terror, having sensed the both of them. She jumped up to her feet.

Tracy tested the knob, to find it unlocked. Slowly she inched the door open, to see what was outside.

Erika, who was still hanging around the station for some reason, went straight to the interrogation area to find the others.

Karen looked at Angel. She still didn't trust her, but she did know that she had the power to escape this cell with ease, so if she was on the attackers' side this was a really weird and elaborate con. She only had to debate about half a second whether or not to let her out.
"Warden! Keys!" She snapped at the prison warden standing guard at the end of the hall. Unsure what was going on, he tossed the keys across the room, which Karen expertly caught and immediately used to unlock Angel's door.

---

Jack and Marissa burst straight out of the rooms into the hall, while Kyle opened it slowly and peered out cautiously, as unbeknownst to him, the same as Tracy was.

Presuming she could see Jack and Marissa, and there were no guards to stop her, Tracy came the rest of the way out.

Angel came out warily, like she wasn't sure what she wanted to do.

"We need to get out of here..." she said in what sounded like a despaired whimper almost, "We can't fight them head on. That's Remus and Firehawk up there. They're working together."

***

And indeed they were. Firehawk had killed everything on the top level and burned the vital equipment beyond repair and recovery. He then cut a hole with his flamesabre in the floor on the polar opposite end of the level as Remus, who sensed him drop, and together they Force-Crushed the entire top level, sending it crashing down on top of the second level while the two of them stayed in the staircases, inspecting the damage and looking for any survivors.

***

The ceiling was beginning to show large cracks. It was going to give soon. Very soon. They had to get out. Now.

Erika ran into the hall to join them. "Hey guys." She said, almost as if nothing was happening. She seemed a little excited.
Uriah appeared behind her. "Everyone head to the exits." He told them, making his way down the hall and opening doors, checking for other suspects. "Now."

"Time to go?!" Tracy half-asked, half-yelled, as she looked at her assorted friends and acquaintances, before turning and running for the door.

"How do you-" Karen started to ask, but stopped as a portion of the ceiling came down, "Fuck it, explain later, just MOVE!"

---

Kyle came out into the hall as well - meanwhile Jack went straight for the interrogation room he knew Sakura to be in and kicked the door in. Even though it was unlocked. Because that's how Jack does business.

Angel started down the hallway with Karen in tow, when suddenly that portion of the ceiling collapsed, and the roof covering the other direction had collapsed moments ago.

Panicking for a moment, Angel came up with a Plan B.

Showing off her own destructive power, she charged up and fired an explosive bolt of Light towards the exterior wall, which obliterated a sizable chunk for them to escape into.

"Through the hole, go!" she commanded, already making for it herself.

Karen paused before following Angel, as there was one other person in a holding cell. Not knowing who he was or why he was there, she quickly unlocked the door and continued after Angel through the whole. Outside, they found... a rather steep dropoff, as apparently this police station was on a hill. A grassy hill, thankfully.

---

Jack grabbed Sakura by the arm, pulled her to her feet, and dragged her out of the room and into the hall. If she continued to be asleep he'd pick her up.

"Marissa!"
"I'm fine, just get the hell outta here!" The blue girl yelled back at her half brother as she ran up behind him and Jack. Kyle lead the way following Tracy, pausing only to avoid a burning chunk of ceiling collapsing just in front of him. He jumped over it and continued onward.

Erika ran along with the group. Uriah finished his search quickly then followed the rest, bringing up the rear.

Angel didn't stop at the edge of the hill and threw herself off of it high in the air, landing at the bottom like a ballerina on her feet.

***

Firehawk and Remus had gotten into a bit of a debate, which happened to be the only reason this building was still standing.

"...they are Marked. You do not touch them."

"All of them?"

"Yes, all of them."

"DAMMIT!"

A column of fire erupted behind Firehawk, shooting up from the first floor, actually, where the kitchen was.

"I did not say you couldn't make their lives miserable. But make it quiet. Now move."

Karen didn't stop at the edge of the hill either, she slipped in the wet grass and tumbled and rolled all the way down.

Tracy stopped outside and waited for the others to catch up.

Muffles was outside, still in full theatrical garb. And holding a handgun.

And eventually slid to a stop beside Angel, who was glancing up at the burning, crumbling station with a helpless expression.

Karen staggered up to her feet as quickly as possible, holding her side with one hand, pistol in the other, muttering something under her breath about 'getting too old for this shit'. Once on her feet, she too looked up at the crumbling station.

---

The investigator was outside when the attack happened. He'd just lit a cigarette - a cigarette which now hung from his gaping mouth, barely clinging on to his lower lip.

---

The others soon joined Tracy outside, and kept running, till they were well away from the entrance. No doubt a lot of cops were pouring out as well.

Cop #2 was standing outside, somehow covered in soot. Cop #1 was next to him, somehow perfectly clean.
Erika looked back at the building once they were a ways away. "So, uh...who'd you guys piss off this time?" She asked the group.

"Social services..." Kyle replied breathlessly.
